Dear Mr. Richards:
        Thank you for your letter of January 9th. and I would say that you have done quite well to be able to gather in ninety banks in five years collecting today.
        As for myself I have added but one - a "High Hat Jolly Nigger" during the past year; but it matters little to me even if I should get no more, as I am able to be satisfied with the collection I have.
        This letter is being written while in bed where I have been for the past six weeks on account of torn ligaments from my left knee, but I expect to be out shortly.
        It will indeed be a pleasure to show you the collection of banks any time you should be in Fostoria; the main pleasure of having the banks today is showing them to my friends.
