May, 1910 — PLAYTHINGS, A MONTHLY TRADE JOURNAL
DEVOTED TO TOYS, GAMES, DOLLS and Juvenile Sporting Goods

Another North Pole new comer makes itself known in the
form of a bank which will sell over the retail counter at a half
dollar. Upon the insertion of each coin an American flag springs
up at the North Pole. Gold and silver work has been used on
this toy with very good effect; white dog sledges and Eskimos
are shown winding up toward the pole. Lock and key have
been provided.
The Billy Goat bank, an original conceit in this line of goods,
will sell at twenty-five cents. When the coin is placed in the slot,
the lever is pressed and the goat flies across the bank butting
the coin inside for safe keeping. Lock and key have been
provided.
